With Sunday’s time change, more darkness and cold, and inevitable illnesses, it’s a prudent time for a few changes to our weekend Masses. These will go into effect the weekend of Oct. 31st/Nov. 1st. First, every other pew will be cordoned off, preventing it from being occupied.
Also, at Holy Communion the priest will distribute the Eucharist only to one half of the church at a time. First, he will stand at the north end of the sanctuary (near the organ) and those in the north half of church will leave their pews on the north side, returning to their pews via the center aisle. Once those in the north half have received, Father will stand at the south end of the sanctuary (near the confessional) and those in the south half will leave their pews on the south side, returning to their pews via the center aisle. Social distancing (six feet) will need to be observed by those in line for Holy Communion. Saint Blaise, pray for us!
